Is there an Apple Store on Lanzarote?
Apple Repair options on Lanzarote
Apple does not operate a retail store on Lanzarote, and there is no authorised service provider based on the island.
For anything that definitely needs Apple itself, a warranty claim, a board-level repair, an official parts replacement, the machine has to reach an official Apple channel.
Apple Certified repair in Gran Canaria
The nearest one is Promac in Gran Canaria.
They have a quick pick-up service on the island, however, they do need to see the device to make a recommendation and provide a quote, and in my experience the entire process tends to be a matter of weeks rather than days (but do talk to them - a day trip to Gran Canaria is quick and not too expensive.)
Apple Store in Madrid
In some cases, taking your Macbook or Mac Pro to the official Apple Store in Madrid (reservation required!) can be the most straightforward option. I've done this. Flights are affordable, frequent and take about 2 hours - but realistically, it'll cost you a day, leaving with Ryanair, Iberia, or Vueling in the morning and returning in the evening.
Try local first
The good news is that you don't always absolutely need an Apple Store for every problem. Software, macOS, data, accounts and setup type problems maywell be faster to solve on the island than off it. Also, especially for Apple devices out of warranty, there are some repair options available on the island.
Here is the split:
- Usually needs official Apple service: warranty repairs, swollen batteries, screen and logic-board replacements, anything requiring genuine Apple parts.
- Can be handled on Lanzarote: a Mac that won't turn on failed updates and boot loops - we can at least get these diagnosed quickly. Apple ID and iCloud lockouts, slow machines, data rescue, and setup or migration. See Mac help on Lanzarote.
- A replacement sourced locally: when a repair would take too long, you can get a new Mac on the island - but selection is often limited. I can advise, source it, set it up and deliver it to you on the island.
If your problem does need to go the official Apple route, I can manage the escalation to official Apple service for you.
Apple shopping options on Lanzarote
There are some Apple shopping options on the island, and an Apple-dedicated retailer Gran Canaria.
The local options are consumer electronics stores where Apple devices are either a tad more expensive than usual, or the devices on offer are maybe a generation behind - look carefully. This list is not exhaustive, and not an endorsement! I have no connection to any of these stores.
- Informatica Lanzarote – specialist store that can get nearly anything, but not the cheapest
- Worten with several branches
- Media Markt near Decathlon
- Electron near IKEA
Apple shopping options on Gran Canaria
While there are many options to get Apple products in Gran Canaria, the most prominent one and an official Apple Reseller is Banana Computer.
Why people search for an Apple Store here
The Mac or iPhone broke and there is nowhere obvious to take it
The instinct is "find the Apple Store", and on Lanzarote that search comes back empty.
A warranty or hardware repair that needs Apple
A swollen battery, a cracked screen, a fault under warranty: work that genuinely belongs at official Apple service.
Locked out of an Apple ID or iCloud
The kind of account problem people expect a Genius Bar to solve.
A brand-new Mac to buy and set up
Wanting to walk into a store, and finding the island has no Apple retail at all.

Frequently asked questions
Is there really no Apple Store on Lanzarote?
Correct. No Apple Store and no authorised Apple service provider on the island. The nearest official Apple-certified presence are Promac (service workshop) and Banana Computer (store) on Gran Canaria. If it is urgent and it has to be an official Apple Store, a quick hop to Madrid is sometimes the best solution, especially for residents with their large flight discount.
Can I get a warranty repair without flying somewhere?
Promac on Gran Canaria can handle much of what an Apple Store can. I can accompany the process and take over the communication if needed.
Which problems can be fixed on the island?
Software and macOS problems, data rescue, Apple ID and iCloud trouble, setup, migration and sourcing a new Mac. Certain repairs are also possible at third-party shops in an emergency, and I can accompany the process.
How fast can you respond?
I can't always promise an instant reply, but it's typically the same day, often within a few hours, and often outside normal business hours. Tell me your deadline and you get a realistic answer on whether I can meet it.
Why is there an upfront payment?
Upfront payment confirms the job and I reserve a time slot for you. You receive a transparent estimat, no part of the cost is hidden.
Do you work with companies or just individuals?
Both. I issue a proper Spanish invoice in my own name (NIF-supported, 7% Canary Islands VAT/IGIC included), which is easily claimable as a business expense.
What if you can't fix the problem?
You get a realistic estimate of success before we start, and I do everything I can to make it work. However, as a general rule, time worked is time billed regardless of outcome, and travel, sourcing and delivery are part of the agreed price. If the estimate changes while I work, you hear about it immediately and get to choose whether to continue or not.
How much does it cost?
A €50 call-out fee anywhere on the island, then €1.50 per minute of work. Residents get 25% off, and there are discounts for larger or recurring jobs. You get an upfront estimate and will be updated immediately should the estimate change.
How are warranties handled when you source hardware?
I do not put any markup on the hardware I purchase for you: you get the original receipt from the store in your name or your company's name. As a consequence, I do not handle any resulting warranty issues. If it turns out the hardware purchase has a manufacturing defect, the store or manufacturer is responsible. While I will of course help you sort out the issue, I am not liable for the warranty in any way.
Which areas of Lanzarote do you cover?
The whole island. Travel is included in your estimate. There's a single €50 call-out fee wherever you are on Lanzarote. The call-out fee does not apply when the job is remote.
Do we have to meet at my house or accommodation?
No. We can meet wherever you want, including in a cafe, coworking space, or any other public place. Whatever works best for you.
Can a family member arrange and pay for the visit?
Absolutely. A son or daughter often books the visit and settles the estimate, and I keep them updated if they would like.
Can you help in my language?
I can help you in English, German, Finnish and Spanish.
What's your cancellation policy?
Once an appointment is booked, cancellation fee is €50 - I have to make time, arrange travel, and reject other jobs.
How do I pay, and do I get an invoice?
Cash, all major cards including Mastercard, Visa and Maestro, and mobile wallets such as Apple Pay, Google Pay and Samsung Pay, in person. For remote work you can pay by bank transfer or a Stripe payment link. I'm a registered Spanish autónomo, so you receive a proper invoice including 7% Canary Islands VAT (IGIC).
